This program features music of the 21st century, and presents a wide variety of genres, including traditional choral, musical theatre, and gospel. Composers/works could include, but not be limited to: Kim André Arnesen – Flight Song; Rollo Dilworth – I Sing Because I’m Happy; Dan Forrest – Good Night, Dear Heart; Elaine Hagenberg – The Music of Stillness; Ola Gjeilo – The Rose; Lin-Manuel Miranda – Various shows; Stephen Schwartz – Wicked Medley; Z. Randall Stroope – Hodie (mvt.1); and Eric Whitacre – Child of Wonder from The Sacred Veil. There is also a plan to have a 10-minute commissioned work that MOS will premiere in the concert.
